How do i start the baconweed fairy quest?

I never talked to jaarnal, so technically i never started the quest. But i explored and found both the square island (it had no baconweed or flatstone) and then went west to the island where you fight the fairy. That island was also empty. Where do i get the quest from jaarnal?

as you follow the questline, you will be introduced to various npc's that will lead you on the way to the Baconweed Fairy. This is the toughest boss of the Savannah, and you should be in no hurry to fight him without the added weapon damage and armor you will need as you progress. In other words .. no rush, have fun with the game and picking up all the other things necessary first.

hi, thx for the advice but im on the tundra already. This is just a quest i never finished in the savanna. Where do i go to start it?

I have a screenshot for proof if u want it, but i dont know how to send it

If you finish both of the quests prior to it (build 31 walls and 8 baconweed flower pots), then you should have the quest in your journal list already. If not, then find the island with the two questgivers, it will be southwest/west of Maarlapool. They'd be on the way to the first questgiver of the game (besides Jukebox).

This is going to sound noob, but where is marlaapol on the map? I cant find it on there

Sorry Neptro, I just assumed ... Marlaapol is a straight line due East from my original crashed ship, and not very far away. I understand all the points of interest aren't exactly the same on everyone's game, but it was one of the first places I ran into exploring. I'm also halfway through the Tundra, and don't remember all the steps of quests and the prerequisites necessary.

I actually was having so much fun with the game, that I started a second build and ran into several quests and treasure locations that my first character missed entirely. So will probably do another run and try for a completionist approach later on ...

As for Jaarnal (if indeed he was the one who gave the Baconweed Fairy start), on my map, he is a straight line due South of Uugy's Meadow 15-20 map sections down, and Uugy's was just a few steps Southeast from my original Crashed Ship

I actually have the quest right now. Went to the island with the baconweed in the middle and nothing happened. Waited til evening, again, nothing. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm at full health, level 11 weapon now and level 9 armor. Am I missing something?

Jaarnal will be waiting for you in the middle of the green field with the three lights blinking over his head, IF you followed the Uugy Meadow to Jaarnal's quest line properly. I also found the Baconweed Fairy site due west of the stones and flower before I actually got the proper quest from Jaarnal himself ... Load up the trinkets and buffs you want to use before clicking on Jaarnal, as the fight will be on. I personally thought Baconweed Fairy was the toughest fight in the Savannah (moreso than Hewgo).

OR .. a major bug if you've done all this .. sorry
