To start with it is very unbalanced and it is only when you get the forge - at some point I can't remember - that it actually allows you to make items that even the game up.
Saying that, sometimes you can spend 10 minutes fighting one creature, which is very dull and pointless.
The combat is poor and the aim mechanics are bad, which is a bit of a minus bearing in mind combat is a core component.
The biggest problem with this game is that it seems that there is something there - both from the promise of the game and the positive regard it has, yet in reality it isn't a good game at all.
I persevered for 51 hours and got to the final - pointless and never beat it - boss, so I think I get an opinion for no other reason than it is a horrendous waste of time.
This is what I was noticing....
Huh, expected better.
I played it through on normal and it was tortuous enough with no final pay off, if masochism is your thing good luck to you as it isn't for the other 99.5 of us.
Out of sng, I messed with cheat engine to make my character immortal, and then just let it attack them. Even without having to move/avoid/dodge attacks, it still took more than 3 minutes PER MONSTER for the tier 3's.
sounds fun. why not increase your dmg and/or defense with cheat engine though?
a: I don't like to cheat, honestly. I only did it to see just how much health the enemies have.
b: I don't know how to cheat the damage even if I wanted to.
Though after beating the game, I'm much more willing to cheat on a second playthrough. A damage multiplier would definitely make most of the tediousness of fights go away.
And I definitely want to change movement speed. Ugh.
2nd playthrough? Good lord, if I lived for eternity there would be no time for a second playthrough of Crashlands.
Well done for beating the final boss, I tried a couple of times and after 55 hours I just gave up.
Game is quite fair in difficulty, and I hate games whose selling point is the difficulty like DS, this is quite a fun game to play and you can easily solo it in like 20h, a bit more if you want to farm all pet evolutions and items.
Only downside of the game is not having online multiplayer
I played the game twice from start to finish, it's not near as hard as you make it, you just need to rely on pets more. At the end of the game you have tons of healing items which make the end boss cake
On normal is pretty easy, on insane, it's really difficult.
On Insane Mode + Hardcore it's close to impossible and way harder than completing any souls game without dying.
