I think it is just a bug....I get two wompit eggs every playthrough I do. I have never received two of any other pet. It would be cool if you could take them both out at the same time to help fight but,we just have to make do with one.Hope this is helpful.....

i don't think its a bug i guess i havent tried to hatch my other wompit but ya i got another egg as well. i assumed it was random and you could have more but with no purpose except to have a farm.

no, its a bug. I read on the wiki that its a rare bug, but a bug nonetheless.

My apologies for resurrecting an older post but apparently this multiple-egg phenomenon isn't restricted to wompits. I got a second Lyff egg minutes ago:

So do you guys think getting multiples of a single creature egg should no longer be considered a bug anymore? I mean, there is no real reason why the developers wouldn't want us to have more than one type of pet since you can still only have one pet follow you at a time (AFAIK).
