When does this game take place
I'm interested to know when this game is actually supposed to take place. It looks old, however the usage of the swaer beginning with F (i know valve would censor it here) strikes me as being really out of place. If this is modern, ok that makes sense then...but if it takes place prior or around ...oh....mid 1800s, the usafe of the word comes off as forced and out of place.

the earlyish 20th century or possibly the 1890's, based on the fact that the guy has indoor plumbing and multiple electric lamps, and a book referencing Miskatonic university

I think I remember seeing something in the game that was dated 1927. And I think that since he has a prosthetic leg and a lot of millitary medals(Though they are German medals for some reason) throughout different drawers in the house, he lost that leg in The Great War. So I think we can assume that this is sometime after 1927.

I didn't see any evidence that he would have lost his legs during the World War. But this makes sense at all.
And how did you know they were german medals after all? i had for me that they were some kind of secret society kind o medal, templar crosses and all. But i'm no medal expert though.

Plus, judging by the kind of telephones in the mansion, and that the owner would probably ahve money to have the "state of the art" kind of phone, this is indeed around 1920

The invoice for the prosthetic leg says 1969 on it
