Layers of Fear (2016)

Here are the names of (almost) all the paintings from Layers of Fear
So I noticed quite a few people asking which paintings were featured in this excellent game and, being something of a classical art nerd, I thought it was worth the time to put a video guide together to help you all out.
If you noticed any I missed and you need an educated opinion, screenshot and leave them here and I'll do my best. Enjoy!

Should probably add that my play was from the first build of the game. Don't know if anything's been added since.

Fantastic video! Although this reminds me, the video is missing the original painting of "Lady with an Ermine". Not your fault! Because I think the original is not shown in the game (or have I just missed it?). We only see the scary alternative version of the painting later in game. Which is unfortunate, I think. I kinda like how we see the "Lady with an Ermine" slowly changing in teaser trailer. I was hoping we'll be seeing something familiar in the game as well.

Thanks guys. :)

@Heavyline: Yeah, I didn't include Lady with an Ermine because I never saw the original in there, just the slightly grimmer version. Might add it in an update though.

Okay, I've got a Part 2 in the works and have identified EVERY painting except for the following. Maybe the devs would be good enough to step in? :)

Stairwell - Far right

Hall of Portraits
These account for most of the unidentified paintings. Many are amalgamations of each other.

Small room with Candle & Sheet Music
VERY similar to a piece by early 1900s painter William Merritt Chase, "Ms. Meigs at the Piano Organ". May be an original based off this.

Let's finish this!

Great video! It's nice to see the sources of the paintings. Thank you for putting the effort in making this!

does anybody know the name of the artist behind the "main" paintings? the one that starts off as a greenish grey landscape with two red strokes, turns into a pair of flesh flamingos, and later some sort of gore cave? i would love to know.

two thing that really caught my attention was

I thought the portrait of the man with baby face was the dev being creative, who would have thought someone actually did paint it in real life!

and a lot of Francisco Goya's paintings. Wonder if it means something lol

Anyone know the name of the crumbling archway painting in the middle of the marsh looking area? Leafless trees around. It's gorgeous and haunting I would love to be able to hang it somewhere. I have the xbox one version but here's a dark (there's more reds n oranges in the actual image) screenshot i captured of it.

That's 'The Abbey in the Oakwood' by Caspar David Friedrich. One of my favourite artists.
