We are still looking at it, and still have little to no data to go off of. Unfortunately, there are more people in this one post complaining than we have support tickets.
Total tickets on judder: 11
Total tickets over the weekend for anything performance related: 3
Thats all platforms.
If you want to help, PLEASE send in your details.
I am still totally baffled that the developers can't seem to replicate the issue on their own computers. Not only are a ton of people experiencing it, but it has been present in every single video I have ever seen of this game. Are you saying that NONE of you can get it to work? Are you using completely different code from the released version? There are some suggestions from another poster in this thread who managed to fix the issue on the game he was working on, perhaps that could at least point you in the right direction?
I think I've been pretty clear (and so has Bloober) that we can replicate the issue, and that the issue was only improved on a controller with this patch and not resolved.
As you well know, there are literally millions of config permutations on desktop. The poster you mentioned also rightly pointed out that there could be tons of ways this issue could manifest itself. Our jutter/stutter may not be that bad on our 50+ test stations, where as the game breaking stuff that is discussed in this forum could be config specific...or it could simply be subjective.
An example on subjectivity: I showed the game in person to about 2000 people at SXSW. One config was a fresh PS4, the other a ghosted iMac 5K. Performance was great, and while I could super nitpick and see some judder in some rooms, neither myself nor the thousands of folks that played the game at the show would say the game had "performance issues."
More data gets us closer to an understanding of what's being seen in the wild, which of course is much dirtier in terms of sheer stuff on your rigs that could be making what we see as minor, major to you on your config.
If it makes you feel better (it wont of course), we once had a game breaking bug on a Star Wars game for 2 years 0.0 The culprit? A weird font in an update on Microsoft Word. Literally a needle in a haystack.
i could send you another dxdiag if you wanted, but i haven't upgraded /changed my pc since the last time i sent you the dxdiag.
all i know is that the game was better for me before the last march patch, like lots of other people here saying the same thing.
i hate stutter/judder, especially if i know it can be resolved.
the issue didn't keep me awake at night frothing at the mouth while scratching my arms to pieces, but it's safe to see i really didn't enjoy it :(
some people don't mind this sort of thing, so i realize that i am one of those slightly neurotic people that gets annoyed over things like this.
i would like to think that you feel the same way, as this game is your "baby" so to speak, and i know i would feel bad if there was judder/stutter if i was a developer, as that would drive me nuts as a customer.
i just wish there was a way in which i could help you, but i don't know how :(
i really hope you can fix this.
Is it "game breaking"? No, not for everyone, that's subjective. Is it a huge issue? Again, not for everyone, that's subjective. But the stuttering IS there and it's the same for every system since there is no footage of the game in existence without this issue being present. And that's not subjective. It's right there.
So, the only info you get from the DXDIAG of someone who claims he has the issue is that he is simply bothered by it, nothing more. The people who don't send anything still have the issue anyway, it's just that they are not bothered by it, or can't notice it themselves for some reason. But every system has it. So what's the point? It's a problem with the game or the engine. Not with specific systems. The only reason you are looking for "a needle in a haystack" is because you assume there is nothing wrong with the game itself and it's a system specific issue. Maybe if you are willing to look in the right direction, then maybe you will find the problem much faster.
I just created a ticket.
The engine is flawed, and the video posted in this thread clearly shows the judder, even breaking it down in slo mo. Sending in our dxdiag should only reinforce the fact that it isn't system specific and it is indeed the engine. Some people probably don't notice/aren't bothered by it, but I am guessing there are some who's system run games under 60fps and assume it's just low fps, and quite frankly I think there are also a bunch who may be bothered by it but are literally too lazy to bother filling out the info and sending it.
Could anyone else with a display that supports custom refresh rates test this?
I recorded and slowed down a video from 67 to 60fps and uploaded it on Youtube so you can see for yourself:

Smooth as silk!
Cheers
Too bad most people don't have these kind of monitors.
This proves that it's an issue with the game. For some reason, seems like movement is locked to 67hz, is that right?
I wonder if you could use cheat engine to slow the game down a bit so it syncs with 60hz. I remember Sega Rally Revo PC was broken too and had a similar issue as it was locked to 62hz, which made it stutter on 60hz displays. But slowing down the game to 96-97% fixed it for some people.
But for now, the only way is to run the game at the custom refresh rate. About half of the 1080p monitors out there should support refresh rates up to 72hz without dropping frames (sometimes manual timings are needed).
