And yes, this game is jam packed with jump scares. When it's not something flying in your face it's a sudden piercing sound. Nearly non stop.
I hear over and over games need to try new things and this game visually does, but then gets crit panned. Its got its scarry moments, but jump scare heavy it is not. Very real sense of dread to the point of needing a breather. but a beautiful game that needs to be played
I can't really agree with both what people are saying here that this game is;
A) Filled with jump scares
or
B) Has only few jump scares.
...
The jump scares are there. Just like in every good/bad horror game. A horror game without jump scares is like First-Person Shooter without guns.
are you seriously saying, jump scares - no matter how implemented - are only good for streamers? sorry, this is so wrong in my opinion. a good horror game usually has jump scares in it. but they are well made, and the game doesn't consist just of jump scares alone.
once there was a time when people complained about too many jump scares in certain games. but the internet seems to have converted that argument to "even a single jump scare is too much". ^^
