Assetto Corsa Rally

Force Feedback Needs TONS of Work
I know it has been said more than once on here, but the FBB feels so off. With it set low, the wheel still wants to jump out of my hand when the car spins out. However, there is literally ZERO sensation of the limit of friction and NO self-centering of the wheel. So, sliding a car around (like... you know... a rally car), the car gives you no information about how much countersteer is required and when the rear tires are about to bite. It's awful.

Furthermore, I have an active brake pedal which would be absolutely PERFECT for this sim. However, the pedal does not recognize the simulation software so it cannot yet work. This sim looks great, sounds great, and has so much potential. The FBB and general steering feel really ruins it.

You know that it has been said more than once on here, but still felt the need to create another thread?

Yes. I want the devs to see numerous threads to hopefully fix it. I'm casting my vote and have also brought up the active pedal.
Maybe change the settings in your wheelbase software?
more threads = more awareness of the problem :steamhappy:

this
If you don't feel the tyres, this is probably a settings issues with the FFB.

This guy is sliding it with ease : https://youtu.be/IcntFRYrxlU
People with twitch video game skills will be able to drive the car well even with no FFB. Or, they can adapt around FFB problems. That doesn't change the fact that there are serious wheel controller issues in this game--including many who can't get any FFB at all or the controller isn't even recognized.

Of course, there will be many people with wrong settings, helped along buy the opaque naming of sliders in the game that are not intuitive, but I suspect certain wheels are missing some aspects of the FFB altogether.

Even for an EA game, if there was one area you would want to refine a bit prior to release, it would be FFB and controllers for a racing game. If 1/1000th of the time spent on graphics (which are gorgeous and impressive) was spent on FFB, I don't think we'd be seeing these repeat posts.
For the FFB, set 200 in the game (there’s no clipping) and adjust the overall strength on your wheelbase. ACR’s FFB doesn’t work like in other sims…

FFB is great !
Set it @ 125 !
I thought the same thing at first but then fixed it by changing the wheel base software settings.
my accuforce needs to be recognized before I can comment on the ffb
Try increasing damper in the feedback settings

They probably don't see them here, they monitor the official discord. Direct quote from devs: "Please DO NOT report your issues here on Steam".
The business where the wheel tries to bore a hole to the Earth's core when the car is at minimal speed is definitely something that needs work. Maybe when my G29 digs up magma at my desk, it will make the news and the devs will notice that.
