Best way for Gil?
Ok... so, I am trying to go for the 99,999,999gil achievement and I am doing it by mastering All Materia, currently going with 14 on the double bangles and weapons (put slash all on cloud for fast killing of eneimies in Mideel) but.... is there a faster easier way? I just finished putting the materia in the Cosmo Canyon Observatory. I am hoping there is a faster easier way otherwise I will be getting the level 99 achievement before I get this one.....I guess it would make going back to midgar easier :P

Mastering the "All" materia and selling it, is typically the fastest money income.

well, alright, I was hoping for a faster method than this one :P

The magic pots in the north cave give out high amounts of AP per battle. Coupled with the W-item exploit for infinite elixirs, you could master an All materia in no time at all.

It will go even faster if you use Cid's and Cloud's weapons with triple materia growth - Scimitar and Apocalypse

Magic Pots in the Northen Crater. I just did this achivement. Go to the Northen Crater and take the left path when it asks which way you want to go, then go to the swampy area, get in a battle with magic pots, use an elixir on them, then take them out. You get 8000 exp and 1000 ap per pot. To do this quicker, use clouds and cids weapons that give triple groth, i forgot what there called, anyway you will get 3000 ap per pot by doing it this way. Just buy 99 All materias from Kalm Village and master them. It would probably take about 15 minutes to master a weapon and armour full of them, so you could probably master around 30+ All materias in 15 minutes. Hope this helps.

character booster by far is the quickest way to get this achievement. buy everything in game then use again repeat as needed then sell everything

Sorry, I didn't know you meant the fastest way at the point where you are.

@That guy suggesting a glitch:
Where is the point of getting an achievement with a glitch?
At least my definition of an "achievement" is that you have to work for it, -"achieve"- it.
Unless you get real money for it I see absolutely no reason to do this.
If you glitch because it's "no fun" - why do it?
It's a game if you don't wantt o grind the GIL don't do it.
Save the time and invest it something that actually is fun for you.

I wasn't trying to start an argument, don't get mad at me if you don't like the way I do it. I enjoy FFVII, it might even be my favorite game that I own.

Getting 100 million gil is already extremely tedious, and you want to throw in grinding more elixirs too? Honestly by the point you'll start just straight up gil farming you may as well use W-item duplication to save time because as far as I know there's no way to replenish elixirs while in Northern Cave.

As for where you are in the game, there isn't really a good place to grind AP I can think of. Northern Cave is by far the best spot, and earning 100 million gil is a massive, MASSIVE chore. Without selling All materias and having at least one master Gil Plus on, I only had about 5 million by the time I had mastered every materia for Materia Overload, not to mention reaching level 99 on all three of my primary characters first. Keep working on those All materias, but I would recommend putting off the grind until you can access Northern Cave.

Speaking of Gil Plus, it can be helpful to have it alongside working on those Alls, I believe it's the 2000 GP prize in Wonder Square. You'll probably earn enough GP to pick it up when you race chocobos for breeding purposes.

im replaying through so i have been to mideel in a while but im pretty sure the bouncing balls in the same room as the pots give alot more gil, or maybe im thinking of ap/exp... i think this was mentioned buy you could deffinatley try to use the w-item glitch and sell stuff
ikki5 Aug 22, 2013 @ 12:01am
Well.... I just beat the game...for the first time ever... lol But I never found any swamp area or saw any magic pots. Now, when i do find this area, is there a way to get back?

P.S - I will NOT use any glitches so don't bother telling me any because I don't want to hear them. I don't like being a cheat

Yeah there is some in the same room as the pots, they give more ap but they rarely pop up.

When you get there, you can get back to your airship if thats what you mean, but it will take a while to get back.

You're gonna hate grinding the hundreds of elixirs that you need to master the All materias then. It takes 1 elixir per pot in the north cave... 1 pot = 2000 AP without boosted materia growth.
