cant get a blue chocobo

i have a great male rank s and a good female rank s. i use a carob nut and i keep getting green chocobos. i already have the green one but i cant get the blue one. am i doing something wrong?

Unless you feed a random green to a random chocobo before trying again you'll keep getting the same chocobo over and over again. The way I understand it, it sort of jumbles some numbers around and will cause you to get a different result. Just hope that it's the correct gender when you finally get one. >_<

wait, you make the same parent breed again with Carbo Nuts to get a blue or a green chocobo.
Not a green+ regular.
Because the green and the blue need to breed later.

RNG is the culprit. Changing the RNG counter will usually give different results. If you look up Chocobo Breeding guides, they should tell you about RNG counter advancing.

I ran into this issue a lot, and what I did (not sure if it was just a coincidence or not) but when one of them was S rank, I got one and then for the others, I didn't get them as high of a rank, I got them to like A rank and I got the other.

Its all about resetting RNG, fight 3-18 random battles then try again, also dont try and hard reset after a mating, i always seem to get the same results and dont reset RNG that way. I got a male mt. chocobo for probably 30 times in a row before i decided to just wait til they could breed again. worked like a charm

EDIT: forgot to clarify you only need a good/great chocobo, not any other weird mixes. You dont NEED to race the good/great chocobos at all to get river/mt. chocobos but it really helps the results. at rank C they have a 27% chance of getting river, 27% of mt., and a 46% of getting an average. Ranking up to B or A gives you 50% mt./50% river every time. The female/male are all random.

Breeding a gold chocobo requires the wonderful and black chocobo to at least be RANK A. It wont work otherwise

great/good u only need 4 combined wins to get either a green blak not 4 each 4 total for the pair so 2 and 2 or 1 and 3 or even 4-0
for the blue and green to produce a black 9 combined race wins
wonderful black to make a gold 12 combined race wins

no need to waste time getting every single chocobo to s rank to improve your chances

2ndly for ur question

you should have a female great male good for 1 colour
and a male great female good for the other colour

if you have the race wins and have two different pairs of chocobos as in goodm greatf and greatm goodf you will get opposite sex and different colour the first time through

it really is not rng at all like this and u wont end up with same sex or duplicate colours

you can litterally do this and get everything you need in 1 try through consistently instead of resetting the game over and over and wasting hours of your life then becoming a man child crying about rng as if it remotely comes into play if you actually do this correctly instead of the reset rage baby method

Sorry to tell you, it's not that way, I made all as you said, and like so many manuals said too, but keep getting others than the blue one. My chocobos are Great M+ Good F, And Great F + Good M.

Got the Green easily but now the blue wont come, so this part of the manuals are BS, i'ts reallythe NGR. It's a luck matter I think.
