Rufus send off problems (Junon).
Hey guys, I keep having the problem where during certain events, like the parade or the send off event, where whenever the NPC says what to push, it imidiatetly goes away after 2-3 letter. I can never get the whole instrustion to come up, just 2-3 letters and it automatically closes. Is there a way to fix this. I really want to get the Forcestealer but only getting a few letter is making that extremely difficult. Thank you for your time and help.

well, you need to have a good reaction speed anyway to get a good rating, you can try lowering the test speed in the config

I wouldn't be concerned about the Forcestealer. Yeah at the time it's the best weapon for Cloud and it has double growth, but you can pick one up from the shop as soon as you reach North Corel, which isn't far off. Personally I think getting an HP Plus materia is a better reward because you can't get one of those until Cosmo Canyon.

As for the actual instructions, i'm pretty sure it's designed to go fast. You can probably get a bit more time if you slow down the message speed. Also remember it's using the PC version instructions instead of the Playstation controller symbols. Look for the first letter and go by that since each command starts with a different letter:
O: Ok
C: Cancel
M: Menu
S: Switch
L: Left
R: Right
And the special move can be any button, I think.

Also, you don't get any points if you perform the commands while facing the wrong way, though it's almost worth it to see Heidegger laughing at you the whole time.

It just goes faster as the game progresses. If that doesn't help, you could try slowing down your computer for a better window of oppourtunity.

If I remember correctly, I had the same issue. You more than likely have your text speed set to display as fast as it can. Try slowing the speed down, and I believe that it makes it more manageable.

Hope that helps.

I have everything set to the slowest possible. The problem with just going with the first letter, is that you only see one letter, and it is gone in a split second. and the second that the speech bubble comes up, the other npcs are already moving.

you can sort of fix this by having a screen capture software, and tell the software to record at say 10fps, it will then play the game at 1/3 speed, making doing this easier if you're having problems with the menus basically appearing for a milisecond and then vanishing.
