You can also run from battles by holding down the shoulder keys (which mine are binded to Page up and Page down, I forget if that was the default bind for it or not)
up - W
left - A
down - S
right - D
menu - up arrow
switch - left arrow
cancel - right arrow
ok - down arrow
run from battle - left + right ctrl
Sort of resembles a gaming controller if you think about it.
So if you compare it to a PSX controller meny = triangle, switch = square, cancel = circle, ok = cross (though cross and circle are reverted on psx in only FFVII for some reason)
