This is just subject to speculation though. I'm gonna have to master my materias again before I can confirm this. Mastering KOTR again is gonna be a b!tch :(
And I have mastered enemy skill, so that's not the issue.
You need every materia of every kind of materia mastered to get the achievement (except Underwater). I don't think the same goes to get the Master Materia though. What I mean to say is that in order to get a Master Materia, Enemy Skill is obviously not required. But to get this achievement, you need Enemy Skill mastered AND you need to master a Master Materia I believe.

- You need at least 1 of each and every single piece of materia mastered.(apart from underwater)
- You need enemy skill with all the enemy skills on it.
- You need master magic master summon and master command (these 3 do not need mastered as you cannot master them).
- All this has to in your inventory or equiped to a member of the party you have with you.
Here is a list and where to get them:- http://www.uffsite.net/ff7/materias.php
Here is a list of the enemy skills and where to learn them:- http://www.ffshrine.org/ff7/ff7_eskills.php
*Finally I will say that you DO NOT need to learn an enemy skill in a fight for the check to be done, which everyone keeps saying you do.*
How I know this as I got the achievement myself and the last thing I mastered was Knights of the Round. I had forgot I used the first one I mastered to get master summon
I can now confirm this. I re-mastered all the needed materias, and as KOTR hit master I got the achivement. No need to learn a random enemy skill in a fight. (But you need to have a mastered enemy skill materia ofc)
I'll confirm this bit as well; Materia Overload unlocked for me when my last mastered was Speed Plus.
No sorry no easy way and that is the only way to get them. You have to be eitehr racing in S class or A class to get them and it is easier in S class to get it but it is just by luck. I didn't have that much touble getting them.
I guess the curse of FF7's buggy programming lives on!!
Luckily, mastering only the magic materias takes like 45 minutes.
Only if you've never had it used against you at any point; when the Dragon Zombie uses Pandora's Box it will set a flag to never use it again. If you missed it, you're screwed. None of the Dragon Zombies pre-Jenova used it when I went to finish the game; one had already used it earlier in the dungeon.
