Sources lowering my stats

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but i tried to use some of the sources (power, guard, speed, etc) and instead of increasing my stats, the stats dropped.

I went from a 96 in power to 94. Anyone else noticed this problem?

equip does add to your specific stats, so if you say had an acc or armor or weapon that raises your stats and u increas ur stats with sources after that you take it off your stats will be lower.
Use inital equip if possible. for armor there is a lot that doesnt raise any stats and take off your acc.


For Cloud equip the Nail Bat.
For Barret equip the Gatling Gun, Drill Arm, Rocket Punch or Pile Banger.
For Tifa equip the Leather Glove, Work Glove, or Master Fist.
For Aeris (doesn't really matter), combination Guard Stick/Mythril Rod.
For RedXIII equip the Magic Comb.
For Yuffie equip the 4-point Shuriken.
For Cait Sith equip the Battle Trumpet.
For Vincent equip the Silver Rifle.
For Cid equip the Mop.

The thing is...I dont change my accessories, weapons, or armor (At least right now).

So what im talking about, the sources. the stuff you use and permanently increase your stats.

Anyway, i use them and they are supposed to increase my stats, but i keep finding them going down. without changing anything.
