You are very correct in a way.
The graphics were designed for crt tv screens, im playing this right now on my old psx and on a crt tv and honestly it looks nice even today.
Of course when you put this on a pc monitor or a flat screen tv it will look awful, so you are right, such miserable graphics will ruin the immersion, so yeah its not worth playing like this, i agree with you.
This problem could have been solved if they added graphic filters like scanlines to this release, but sadly they didnt.
People posted pics of how "amazing" it looks, sorry but your statements are false, it does not have the right filters and it does not look amazing at all from what i seen.
Post pics of the amazing looks, maybe people are missing something and you can help?
Maybe i am wrong, and if i am i would be glad to have an "amazing looking" pc version of this game.
looks great to me.
This is not a question of playing for graphics, its a question of getting the same graphics we got when we played this on our psx and crt tvs.
The graphics you get now are simply horrible and much worse than they were when we played this game back then.
When you release game developed for crt tvs on the PC platform, make sure they look the same as what they looked back then, not 10 times worse.
