How can I change to language to the original English text?

I am a native Spanish speaker (Mexican) I've played FFVII back then in English and now the STEAM version I got sets me the game texts in Spanish from Spain.

The problem is the translation in Iberian Spanish is so horribly done (it seems they used some sort of electronic translator like google or similar) that dialogues and text sometimes are absolutely ridiculous or make no sense.

How can I set the game back to the original English dialogues and texts?

You can change the language in the properties of the game on the Steam client and set it to English. It will then download the English files.

Appearntly going to Set Launch Properties and putting -language en works? The fix was about Dota 2 I think but it can't hurt.

If you can't find anything the Bootleg mod installer removes the achievements, cloud saves, and character booster, but does have the option to select the games language. I think it also has an option for a better spanish translation.

Hm, well how much do cloud saves, achievements, and the character booster matter to you?

Changing the language is not going to affect the saves / achievements. It's just going to download a new set of files from Steam to play the game in english (saves are compatible between languages).

in fact you can chynge the language in the properties tab. this guy just doesn't know what he's talking about.
