Need help.
How do i switch my party.

i got to the part where it tells me to press cancel on the menu to chenge my party. that doesnt work and it makes no sense.

yes i just saved Aeris and got red on my team. i would like to put tifa on my team though.

You get the PHS after you leave Midger in the town k...(Can't remember the name off hand atm).

so i cant switch my team around yet? i need the steal materia but its equipped on someone whos not in my party.

You will be able to change your team very soon, don't miss that opportunity.
In my 1st playthrough, I did not and had to fight a boss without materia ... what a pain it was ...

i read a walkthrough and it says i should be able to switch my party now. and it says steal some really good items on floor 67. i cant because the steal materia is equipped on someone whos not in my party. this is very frustrating since it says i should switch my party now

you can only switch the party and materia in that area when it tells you that you can with the auto pause info dialogs.

You can change it at save spots. you have to go to the party menu..

it didnt let me change my party during the auto pause info dialog part and im at a save spot and i still cant change my party at the menu.

you can take materia from anyone go to the menu then matria then over to check and somewhere in there it will let u take from any party member. as for changing only at that time and outta midger when ur done kalm.. u get the phs

it only lets me select materia that no one has equiped

I had the same problem, it said in the walkthrough that after saving Aeris I had to hit the start button, but it just skipped over that part and I got stuck with a default party.
