FFVII w/ Advent Children graphics...why not?

I love being able to play this game again, I purchased it on Ps3 as well. But really why does it still have the same old lame graphic look to it? I would pay full price for a complete remake of FFVII with i dunno, say, Advent Children look to it. This game was release on PC for openGL back in the day and i bet that is all this steam version is too, just updated for newer computers.

Alot of us would love a remake, but this isn't it. It's just meant to be a rerelease to give people easy access to the game, just like the PSN version

yes i mean advent children and i know it was the movie, but this is no reason why they couldnt redo FFVII with similar or the same graphic look to it.

If there was a graphic upgrade pack that would make it look more like a game made this decade i would buy it!

yes it is possible to mod this just find the final fantasy vii folder in steam folder and download the ffvii remake mod that updates graphics install and play

Can it be modded easily now that it's on Steam? I think modders could give this game some serious new life if so.

He mean a remake of the game, with the Final Fantasy Advent Children graphics......before the launch of PS3, I remember some news from Square Enix thinking about a remake like that....but some time ago, even Nuobo Uematsu admited, it was hard to get a remake of FF VII without the original crew, cause that would be the only group who will undestand what the fans really wanted.....probable a Final Fantasy VII Chapter 3 (chapter 2 was the movie, The Advent Children).

Well Square seem to release lots of FF7 Related lately new FF15 with Cloud Strife Gear for the main char as bonus and FF7 on Steam perhaps a Remake on PS4 ?

Thats Final Fantasy VII Ultima PC version, it is a fan made mod, they change a lot of thing, like better pictures of the toons, better interface, the music from the movie "The Advent Children".

Why not? Simple: Advent Children was and still is a CG marvel. It wasn't until this generation that games could be made that were the level of the original Toy Story, a 19 year old movie. The most powerful gaming computer on the planet couldn't run a game that looked like Advent Children.

Yeah the look to Advent Children is pretty good, but what i really love is the animation in that big blockbuster FF movie that flopped" "The Spiritis Within". That movie is so beautiful looking (despite having a really mediocre story).

Honestly, I'd hate it if they gave it that look. FFVII clearly had an anime-esque look to it, but all the spinoffs and new artwork of the characters just goes for realism. If the remake goes for a realistic graphical style rather than retaining the original artistic look, then I'm already not going to get it. Also, they better keep the original Cloud instead of that emo sissy we got in the spinoffs.

As long as Nomura is the lead character designer, you can just look at Lightening to see what a modern Cloud would look like. Just chaange the hair style, color, get rid of the boobs, and change the costume.
