Graphics mods?

Do any of the FF7 PC graphics mods work for this game? Higher res backgrounds would make this game purchasable. Otherwise, my PS3/Vita copy will suffice.

It really is an awesome mod. THe puppet models for me were the one main thing that really made the game show its age. Even at the time I think it was a mistake I mean Final Fantasy VIII did not do that and still holds up.

No it is when your enveloping a new mesh over an existing mesh's animation skeleton. It has to match up with the original animations and skeletons.

My models didn't have this problem. Look at the Nibleheim Tifa, her upper body is open on the downside. This happens if some Noobs ripping models from other games and do not know, which possibilities the game have or not have. I don't say this mod is bad, because it used ripped models (which is still illegal, that's why I do not take my hands on it and fixing it), it is bad because the models are bad ported and built together (very good to see at the half done Sephiroth).

Kaldarasha is right. But I don't bother the graphical issues. The graphic isn't good anyway :)
ps. Final Fantasy VIII has this issues also with the original models.

I checked Tifa Bootleg and what the ♥♥♥♥? I need to change name of HDD to install this. Forget it, I won't bother, just give me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ files to copy. I found only one nice graphic mode which changes Lego characters into actual people (or Advent Children style). Is there any mod which change characters in fmvs as well? Or at least to make enemies look better? Better background textures would be nice too, but I guess I want something like that:

With this mod, you only need to overwrite some files. Backgrounds in the battlefields are then HD and some enemies (Shinra Soldier etc.).
But for more, you need to bootleg your game, which is complicated and disable achievement and cloud save.

No good :( I'd rather save original portraits but rest could be AC (I guess without overwriting menu folder will do the trick). Just Barret has strange gun and whole white in battles, so it's only thing keeping me from playing with this mod (only with first gun they say). Anyway for me the biggest flaw was character models, so even with this small mod I can finally give this game a proper chance.

Yeah, just don't use the menu.lgp. I'm not sure, but I thought I've put a readme file in it, which tells you which file does what.
Yes there are some bugs, which can't be fixed by me. But I hope the modder CloudyStrife will improve everything and use also my files (I've got more HD Battlefields, Map-Model and a non AC-Version and some little changes included in his mod).
Square Enix is a shame, that they didn't want a mod scene for their games...

That face is essentially identical. Its a generic Anime face there isnt much variety. A modder already modeled and setup a character like that, and you dont like it because of some superficial detail? I say deal with it then.
