Bought from Square's store

I bought FF7 when square re-released it a little while ago, and I'm just wondering if anyone knows if we are able to use the key that we got from square's store to activate the game on steam?

I just tried and it failed. I hope they will let us redeem our codes for a Steam version.

Yeah it seems pretty unlikely with Square-enix, but one can hope.

lol i already made this topic, i just contacted their support for a answer, at the very least it says FF7 is a sqaure enix store exclusive so I will be asking for a refund if I am not presented with a steam key, and then ill just re-buy it on here there's really no reason not to give past customers a key

will do, the BBB is usually persusive i know alot of people may frown on me doing this but it's shady business to say the games exclusive then months later put it on steam and not give people keys for the game because I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it was going to be on steam I thought it was exclusive to the SE store xD

Exactly man, this is the reason I want a Steam key. I never thought this game was going to be on Steam so I bought it from Square's store, the least they could do is just gives the people who bought it a key to activate on Steam, but if that doesnt work maybe a refund will

To be fair it isn´t all that shady and happens all the time between different platforms, be it from consoles or iOS/android to PC or other way around, or even windows to mac/linux(usually thats free tho).

Yeah I bought mine about 6 months ago specifically because it looked like it would never be on Steam. I buy ALL my games on Steam if they're available, this kinda sucks :/

Agreed. I'm in the same situation... I plan on buying it for steam if they don't give me a CD key, but it'd still be nice to save myself £10... keep us updated if they will refund on SE store or give a CD Key for those of us that have already purchased!
