[BUG] Can't get through a door on the 68th floor

I'm in the Shinra building near the beginning, after everyone gets captured. I'm at the point where we wake up and everyone's dead. The blood trail leads through a door up a ramp on the 68th floor (right after Red XIII says "Looks like it leads up"), except the door is blocked and I can't get through. My memories from 15 years ago and every walkthrough I've checked seem to indicate this door should have been open, but it's not, and I saved right before this, so I'm essentially stuck.

Is this a known bug at all, or should I just re-do the five hours of this game I've done so far and hope it actually works the second time through?

try to "use" the door

The door is not up the ramp, it's below it. Just follow the blood trail

Well, I feel dumb. Yeah, I was trying to go through on the upper level. I'd swear that's where it looked like it was. *Sigh*
