Glitch on the Cargo ship? Can't progress

On the cargo ship early on in the game it seems i can't get the game to progress. I have talked to everyone (although i don't have Yufie yet). Has anyone else found this? knows how to get a round it?

I remember having a big issue with this back when I played on the PS1. First, talk to everyone both above and below deck. Then, go back below deck and talk to Aeris. She will ask where Barrett is. After she says this, the guy blocking the exit to the left (by Red) will be gone. Go to the left and talk to Barrett. Story will progress.

ditto, had the same issue, just talk to aeris again.

Same for ps1 and pc version for me too.
