Long Range Materia

When I first entered the Mythril Mines, I could not seem to climb the vine in order to obtain the long range materia. Is anyone else having this issue?

Never had that problem, try from a different angle.

I have been trying! I've tried over and over again from different angles. I can't seem to get the materia.

The angle of attack - as it were - to get up that vine is a bit strange if i remember. Try standing a little in front of it, and keep walking around whacking "OK" and you'll manage it :)

Aha! Thank you, kind sir. It worked. I had to stand a bit away from it for it to work. & Yes, the angle is extremely different from the rest of the vines/ladders/stairs and whatnot.
