Best place to farm Limit breaks?
I need to get Yuffie from Limit 2 to 3 and Cid only has his 3 so I need to get the other limit before I can use Highwind on him. Best places to manipulate enemies and farm for kills? I just got done farming AP for about 6 hours so hopefully I won't have to go back into the northern crater haha.

The best place to get the ones that require kills is Mythril Mines outside of Fort Condor. Go to the first room to the north once you enter and every battle there will have 4 - 5 enemies. Make sure someone has Matra Magic or Slash-All, or anything that hits all enemies to make it faster.

The best place I found to learn new ones that require using limit breaks is Cactuar Island. Manipulate the cactuar to use 1000 Needles on who you want to use limit breaks with. Make sure they got Fury status to make it faster.

Yeah mythril mines is amazing, I hit level 3 limit on Yuffie so quickly, thanks a lot! Does anyone know a better place than cactuar island though? It feels a bit slow to me for manipulating and letting them do only 1k dmg to me per turn

To make it faster, make their health around 2,000 or so. They'll get their limit bar filled in one hit by 1000 Needles. Needs to be around 2,000 or less. Just as long as they can survive one hit.

That's a lot better, I took off hp plus and equipped every summon until Yuffie had 2.1k hp so at level 3 limit it took only 2 1k needles to get to full limit and at level 1 limit it takes just 1. Thanks for the help !

By the way I just ended up equipping and 8x socket weapon and armor and just filled it up with summons. By getting to about 1.1-1.2k 1 1000 hits from a manipulated cactuar instantly fills up the bar. I'm tempted to do this with everyone else in my party and load up the old save file and get aeris's final limit break as well...

the island just below where the temple was is really good, most enemies are easy and give at least 1500xp and 200 ap

A quick tip for if you want to get the Great Gospel achievement (which takes FOREVER as I'm finding out), give Aeris an Enemy Skill materia with Matra Magic learned, and a Counter Attack materia. Then fight against Battery Caps near Rocket Town, or against the formations in the Mythril Mines. Ah yeah, and use a Hyper on her so she'll get her limits quicker.

If you don't have Matra Magic, either learn it, or give Aeris a Fury Ring and she'll just go about killing everything on her own.

Funny enough you mention Yuffie because I've always used the MithMines for the limits, but I'm starting to like the forest you find Yuffie in better. The highest rate fight in the area is 5 of the roots that cast Grand Spark for 200 in rapid procession (wear worst armor and reduce your health to under 2000ish). This kills 2 birds with 1 stone.

To kill enemies, I go to the forests on the Junon part of the map. Usually 5, sometimes just 3 enemies pop up with low health.
To use limit a limit break 6 ( or 8 ) times, I go to the Cactus Island in the south-west part of the map. There you can run into the Cactus. He can be easily manipulated and uses an attack that does exactly 1000 damage ( 1000 needles ). He also has a high chance to dodge an attack, which helps because sometimes you might be able to use 2 - 3 limit breaks for each battle before killing the Cactus. Make sure your party has the FURY status so your limit gauge fills faster with each damage taken!

This I am doing it now there's a large green forrest and in there are some 2 legged brown things that do a move called Grand Spark most of the 2nd limits of each level require 80 kills so for example Cloud Climhazzard would need 80 to get 1st of level 3 I am just spamming Choco/Mog to kill them instantly and using any Limit that come up from the other characters. Then when I get that characters level I pass over Choco/Mog summon to another and just rinse and repeat it's time comsuming but you get level ups and it's the best AP for materia in any area on the first part of the map. I am nearly getting Cure2/Bolt2/Ice2/Fire2 (of the 1st fire materia you get Red's already is done)/ could carry on to get Choco/Mog up 1 level too

Any monster with Demi 2/Demi 3 is good, using that materia that swaps HP/MP is also good.

This is very simple to do since I have gotten Cloud's level 1, 2 & 3 limit breaks & Aerith's level 2 limit break all in Midgar before going to get Tifa from Don Corneo every time I play a new game. The only things you need are lots of hypers, tents, & only use restore magic when needed such as like your party has lost about 3/4 of their health. Also don't forget to have restore linked with an all.

Now to explain why you need to lots of hypers & tents. I don't know how many people actually knows this about hypers & tranquilizers but if a party member does not have the status sad & you use a hyper on that person they will then be put into the status of fury & it works the other way around for tranquilizers. Fury doesn't cause your party to take double the damage from a monster.

The only way I know to change how much damage your party takes in battle is to change their position in battle. When a party is the closest to the monsters (or the picture is to the left in the menu screen) does more damage as well as they take more damage from the monsters. You could call this the offensive stance or position. The Defense stance is when a party member is in back (or the picture is more to the right in the menu screen) & they will take less damage but will also do half the damage. Allows keep ALL PARTY MEMBERS IN THE OFFENSIVE POSITION SO THAT THERE LIMIT BAR GOES UP FASTER!!!

Now I will explain why you need to have lots of tents. I would expect that most people know why it's good to have tents on you but for those who don't know the befits to having & using tent I will now explain. Tents are like going to an inn or resting in some random persons house in that they heal your party to full HP & MP. But unlike inns or resting in some random persons house they don't remove status from your party. This function is a good thing for how I get farm for limit breaks for my people because it will not remove fury from my party but allowing them to restore there HP & MP. This is more effective at the begin so you don't waste money on buy hypers because you slept in an inn & lost fury just to use x amount of hypers to put them into a status of fury again.

I find that it goes faster if you focus on leveling or farming for gil, AP or both. I'm on CD 1 & everyone has there level 3 limit break expect Cid & Cat Sith who has there lvl 1. I don't use Cat Sith because I find him to be the most useless character in Final Fantasy VII. But the key is to find monster who can do enough damage to your party. Also my Could, Yuffie, & Red XIII have there level 4 limit break & can use them as well. What level is your party?

To get their first level limits, I equip said character with either Enemy Skill with Matra Magic, or Slash-All and a Champion's Belt along with the highest damage weapon available to them (depending on how far into the game you are). Then go to the forests outside of Junon towards the south where you'll encounter groups of 3-5 mobs at a time. You should be able to kill all mobs in one hit this way, or at the very least two.

For the second level limits I go to the Sunken Gelnika while equipping said character with a Cover materia (preferably mastered), using a Hyper to inflict Fury status on them, and putting them in the front row with the other two characters in the back. I grind in the room immediately to the left of the first part of the ship, where there are oil drums and a door to the back of the area. There you will encounter large groups of mobs who primarily hit with very quick attacks (floating jellyfish and shellfish). The shellfish pretty much only do typical physical damage but the jellyfish have a status attack that causes darkness and lessens the chance your character will use Cover. I just kept some eye drops that a spare character can toss if necessary, as well as X-potions, since you don't want to remove the Fury with a Remedy.

Mightily Mines is good for getting kills for the limit breaks, I use the pre-emptive material to ambush enemies often and attack first, mantra magic or magic-all linked combo is good. But for using the limit more times I go to the desert after getting the boogie or south or east from there where I find the Harpy (the Chimera that you learn enemy skill from), manipulate it and use “Aqualung” on all your party, I put Aerith in the party and use her limit break “Fury Brand” right after the one learning limit breaks uses it, to fill their limit bars again to speed it up. Aerith and the one learning with Hypers and materia with -hp% to make it very fast.
