Materia Overlord Achievement

I'm trying to unlock this achievement and have mastered all materias, yet the game isn't crediting me with the materia overlord achievement. Is anyone else having this problem? Any idea how to fix?

Did you get all the spells for the enemy skill materia? That counts too

I used this guide during my play through to make sure I got all the materia. I don't remember having any problems getting this achievement, but it definitely was a chore fighting all those magic pots.

Follow the guide like Mad suggested. It didn't pop for me till I beat Emerald Weapon. I got the 3 Master Materia for that those count toward the progress as well. So don't turn your Materia in for master lvl ones unless you want to master them all again.

Also do not miss "Pandora box" stop whatever you're doing right now and make sure you can get it. If you have not already or you will have to redo everything!.... you can only get it twice the entire game.

If you are using a save file that is not your own -- or from your copy of the pc version. I'm unsure if you will be able to get the achievement or not. I only bring this up because I can see by your achievement times most being got at 11:12pm Dec28 that you must have loaded up a save that already had the materia mastered on part 3 of the storyline. As it's impossible to beat part1-2 at the same time any other way. I'd suggest that if you have not got the achievement and you know you have all Materia and Enemy Skills you delete everything reinstall the game and start over if you want it.

After coming back to this game. I finally got this Achievement. Back in April. I was stupid to Materia Blend all my materias. As I thought they'd count as Master on the rest of the materias. But no no no, Had to start it all over again.

Yes, but on just one of the versions, not all four.

Thanks. The reason the achievements were screwed up is because I wasn't synced up with the server for a few days while I was playing. Either way, I don't want it bad enough that I'm going to reinstall and start all over again!!!

Argh, this is what has screwed me. Fortunately I only blended my Magic materia so far so I just need to go back and redo those. If I would have finished my summon materia blend and had to redo all of those I would have been pissed!

Go unequip all materia and auto sort them. Count down the list make sure you do in fact have 83 unique materia mastered on you including Underwater, and the master 3.

If you do I'd suggest just mastering another enemy skill on your current and/or another save file. I've read posts saying some people had to master more than one. My own experience I only had to master one however since you were not synced up right then some mite have not registered correctly. I hope this does it for it it sucks doing all that work and not getting what you worked for I've been there with a few different games.

Done! I guess a silver lining is that it turns out you can do the materia blend twice (and maybe even repeatedly), so now I have three master magic materia (one from exchanging the earth harp). Not that I will ever need them, but good to know I guess!

Been trying to get this for a while now. Have all materia, double checked. 2 mastered e.skills 2 master command, summon and magic and at least 1 mastered of all others. It's really pissing me off. Though I know I have 100% this game, I don't have that last bit of proof.

OK, I'm found what wrong)
When you take 3 master materias from Kalm, game doesn't check your inventory.
You need to master anything (I'm just learned 1 enemy skill)

When i got the Master materia from Kalm, i got the achievement, so the game not checking there is not true in all cases.

Some people have mentioned having to master another materia, although i'm not sure why some do and some don't.

so it's programmed to check for the achievement once you've acquired a new enemy skill, right? Would it still check for the achievement if I learned a new enemy skill on a duplicate considering I already have all my enemy skills on the original one?
