Depends on if there is a large Mac user demand for the game. How big of the overall market is Mac users and what fraction of that uses Steam and what fraction of that wants FF7? Then depends if the profit margin is worth the cost of assigning a team to port over to Mac OS.

SE only recently (as in the last couple of years) started releasing games to PC. They're still not confident in the platform to release all their old titles, and they're still uncertain about future titles.

More than likely they're going to want to take some time getting used to the PC market, decide if it's right for them, and come up with a plan for releasing old and new titles. If PC proves successful, then they may consider other platforms such as Mac or Linux.
