Does the Quadra Magic Materia glitch still work on FFVII?

I've been trying to attempt it for some time now and every time I try it, the Highwind does a complete 180 and makes me disembark on the wrong side of the cliff. So has it been patched or is it still a doable thing?

You can 100% still do it, I did it on my play through on steam, it took me a few extra tries than I expected, but it did work.

Did you have the same problem with the Highwind doing a 180 every time it descends?

I did to start with and to be honest I can't remember what I did to correct it :/ pretty sure I had to fly with my back to the cave.

Well dang. Thanks. I wasn't sure if it was patched. I had seen a discussion back in December about it and thought it woulda been patched by now. But I'll just keep trying while I also breed Chocobo's ha

Actually I don't! ha. I gave up and just gonna try and breed a blue chocobo asap. I got the green, just need the dang blue now

I have never been able to do this, on PS or Steam versions. I only ever tried intensely for about 15 minutes though.

There are very few things i have not managed to do in FF7, so i hope to manage it one day lol

You may as well just breed up to the gold chocobo anyways, I cant imagine you're trying to get quad magic to help you with any of the story bosses. (if you are then this is awwwwwwwwwwwkward)

My Chocobo Breeding Guide should be of use to you then.
Using this method you will NOT have to race them at all. :)
