Guy locked in Don Corneo Mansion.
Played this game so many times, but its the first time I returned to the mansion after the events. There was a guy chained in the basement, and I freed him. Is it a side quest or something special? He tells you bout what happened there after the events.

No, just sets things up for Corneo's other appearance later in the game but you can play the entire game without ever going back into his mansion.
