Absolutely LOVING it! 99% of the voice acting is superb, and with a ton of other mods installed the game is looking and running better than I could have ever hoped :)

I feel the written dialog doesn't do itself any justice. The voice actors are good, but the dialog wasn't made to be heard aloud. There are parts that are just... something else.

I am enjoying it very much, I think it adds a great deal to the game. This with the mods makes it a deeper experience and I feel the Remake could have been WAY better if they used more of the Original FF battle gameplay vs the Hack and slash new one.

For me, it feels more 'miss' than 'hit', ngl.

Right off the bat I gotta say I def didn't like the included music add-on and was soooo glad I could turn that off.

As for the VOs... Cloud sounds great most of the time. His VA is the best I've heard so far. Everyone else is somewhere between terrible(i.e., Wedge) and ok(i.e., Tifa) -- And I hate how some of the women seem to be trying to pitch their voice to sound like school girls in an english dubbed anime. Out of Tifa, Aeris, and Yuffie, Tifa is the least grating of the bunch, imo.

I will say, I liked the bit where when the one guy is reading the Avalanche graffiti on the wall his VO melds into a narration from Barret then back again. That was a nice touch and I like how they've handled the audio in the 'dream' sequences, and how they added distortion or echos to characters voices where appropriate, etc. I think they've done a fantastic job on those aspects.

I think this is gonna be a one time play-through with the mod for me but I'll hold off on saying more until I finish it. You never know, it may grow on me.

When I found out they where doing an Echo 8 for FF8, I got super excited as FF8 is my favorite.... Theeeen I heard Laguna's voice in the preview trailer. I know that trailer is old now but OMG I hope they replaced that guy! Who in world would think that is what Laguna should sound like!?
