Cheat engine is more powerful though, but also a lot more difficult to use (it isn't specific to FF7)
It can also help you pretty much max out your characters, chocbos, lock your inventory (say if you have a power source and ONLY one left, you can lock it so you can use it inifinitely) and a bunch of other cool features.
PS. There is no viruses contained in the file. If you have an anti-virus, you should do yourself a favor and delete it because anti-viruses suck.
but if not you could easily use cheat engine for that.
or is it the exe itself that you cant run?
It could be your Anti Virus is flagging it as well, thats a possibility.
When I start it a window opens where it says: Range check error
Its possible you're missing required files by the trainer such as Visual Basic runtimes and the like.
Load the game up first then start the trainer
Its also possible that Mods may interfere with it as well.
