W-Item Glitch Still Intact?

Title basically says it all. Is the W-Item item duplication glitch still available in the Steam release?

there is also advanced w-item glitching to clone weapons and such using throw.

since throw can usually toss any item does that meant that the W-Item glitch can be used to duplicate stat boosting items like power source? cause I have been grinding for hours using morph on my psx copy to try and get cloud to max stats (ive done it before but it took longer than breeding a shiny charizard) and i am sick of grinding haha

The W-item glitch is basically you pick the item you want to duplicate, then pick a random item, but do not press confirm after you picked it, meaning when the pointer is hovering, instead hit cancel, then hit confirm again, if the item you duplicated is close to the item you randomly picked you'll notice the number will keep going up the more you keep confirming and canceling.

This can also be done with Sources, to do this you need to pick an item where there is only one left of it, so for example you have one potion left and you go into battle, then you use Morph with Yuffie while also having her Ultimate Weapon, Conformer on because this is the only weapon that allows you to use Morph without a reduction in damage. Hopefully Yuffie will be strong enough to kill the enemy that can be morphed into the source as once you have Yuffie attack with Morph you must immediately go to the character that has W-item, pick the one potion you had which will disappear, then pick another item. Once Yuffie has killed the enemy and Morph it you'll then notice the spot that that one potion was in will be replaced with the source you got from Morphing the enemy.

Yeah Ive been using the source version of the glitch to pump my party for an hour now way faster than grinding, power sources are easy to get

so basically you need the W-Item materia, this allows you to use two items at once in combat, once you have it equipped you go into a battle with the item you want to dupe, choose said item as the first choice and select a target, then select a second item but DO NOT select a target, press the cancel button you will notice the first item will have an extra one in your inventory IE if i have 12 X-potions and use the glitch i will have 13 so you can just push select then cancel on the second item over and over and it will keep adding the first item to your inventory in duplicate
