underwater materia re-obtainable?

so i'm trying to get the materia overlord achivement... made the checklist and everything looks good except i don't have underwater. i know i had it, but it seems my son trashed it by mistake. is this one re-obtainable or should i go strangle him?

You should be able to head back to the underwater Junon reactor to get the item to trade to the npc.

Not sure if you can re-obtain the underwater materia, hope for your sake you can as the master materia achivment is alot of hours! But give it a go, you need to get into the under water reactor via Junon and morph an enemy called Ghostship. Take the item to a traveler in Kalm.

Your son may not to be blame but who knows, many a times my little nephews have messed with my perfect saves! :(

update: i got the guide book again, but when I went to Kalm the old guy isn't there.
i guess i have to pick up in a save 20 levels earlier. -_-

Yep junitZz unfortunately the exchange Guidebook<->Underwater Materia can only be done once. Even if the "old guy" was there you wouldn't be able to trade, regardless. Have fun replaying!

Underwater materia cannot be mastered; it just gains AP but doesn't do anything (it also doesn't count towards Missing Score damage calc) so you might get away without it.
