Where are the save datas in the ff7 folder?

Your save files are in your personal folder related to your windows license. Type "windows + R" and "%USERPROFILE%\Documents" to get in. You'll find a folder "Square Enix" and then the "FINAL FANTASY VII Steam" folder. FInally, you have a folder which name starts with "user". Your saves files are save00.ff7, save01.ff7 etc.

Hello i dont know if you can help me but the final fantasy7 on steam, is it supose to bring the valve folder?

Not there. I can't seem to find it anywhere tbh.

this isnt where the saves are

I played this game on 1998 version for years simple save folder in game directory, but for an hour cant find where the save folder is on steam version lol.

its not %USERPROFILE%\Documents" to get in. You'll find a folder "Square Enix" and then the "FINAL FANTASY VII Steam" and user sub folder

also isnt directly in

In Windows 11, I found it in:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\FINAL FANTASY VII STEAM\user_#######\ , where ####### may be unique to you.

Try making a couple of saves first, then look for the folder.

Save often, I has some go corrupt on me but they were fine on another computer so I just recovered by saving over old progress. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to change save slots periodically in case of a similar issue you don't loose too much progress.

Is where they are at. The numbers on the end of the folder name are your 7 digit user ID number.
