Sephiroth is dead throughout the game. He died when he fell into the pit of mako. Why a part of Jenova y not Sephiroth appears every time when I have to fight against Sephiroth?. Jenova killed Aeris. Sephiroth during the game is just a mirage of Jenova, the proof when it fades after Omnislash cloud because it is a mirage. And who rescued the jenova's body in the Shinra building was jenova's head. What do you think of this?

Sephiroth isn't dead, his body is in the northern crater. He just uses parts of Jenova to take his form & do his bidding. The final battle is within Cloud's mind.
