Splitting up and doing it in parts doesn't actually save any money when you're talking about having the same amount of people working the exact same amout of time. Whatever you say cupcake. I'm just unwilling to be screwed over and I don't buy marketing lies. The game could be done in one shot for the same amount of money and they would still totally make back their investment. It's FF7 for christ sake. It was a day one buy on my list until the whole "Oh we're going to chop up the game and charge you 60 bucks per part, but it's FF7 so we know you'll buy it." My point is I won't pay 60 bucks for the midgar section of the game just to pay another 60 dollars in 2 to 3 years to finally get to see a world map and do some actual exploration. Without at least that to play in it won't be any different than recent FF titles purely linear "explore this city map section for the potions and little things then move to the next small section to search." I feel this is what killed FF13. I was stoked for that game bought it day one and all I got was a linear and crappy RPG. But hey you go ahead and get hustled I'll wait for the whole game to be out and get it for half the price. Enjoy your overpriced collectors edition that didn't even come with lube.

Perhaps that might be a good thing. Square Enix needs a massive financial failure to teach them a harsh lesson. Besides, suckers like you are how SE is getting rich off being as greedy as possible, well done on enabling them. Right because a teaser video during the early days of production is indicative of the whole project. Explain to me please, if they plan to release 3 full games worth of content, how exactly are they going to stick to the original story, when it was barely a full game's worth?

And it was a teaser video, most likely pre-alpha, designed to build hype. It's still early days in production, anything can change. FFXV have been releasing gameplay vids for 2 years now, and the game has changed drastically since then.

You posted a video analysing the teaser gameplay video, what the heck is your point? It's obviously a very early build ortherwise they would've announced a release date already. Heck I'm willing to bet that is all they've built for the game so far, a small part of Midgar and a few CGI sequences. There may be literally nothing else to the game atm.

Spin it all you want, it's pretty obvious you're a huge fanboy who is actually blindly defending an unfinished game. And FYI, I was excited when I saw the video too, then SE dropped the news that it'll be a multipart series and I came to my senses.

Yeah, I'm sorry but none of this matters, because an Episodic format is just not ideal. The ONLY way this can be ok is if they went back to the traditional format of Core game first, then OPTIONAL expansions later on to flesh out more of the story. Otherwise, we'd be forced to purchase every single episode in order to get the full story.

Frankly, if the game is ass and they go all craptastic on the story THEN I'll hand out harsh judgement. Like I said. I don't give a f@ck about it being episodic as long as it is GOOD. Read what I write, not what you want to imagine me as writing.
