Can't Get A Female Green Chocobo
I already have a Great Female at B Class and a Good Male at B Class. I've tried somewhere around 25 times to get a female green Chocobo, but all I get are green males and blue males (and blue females on the rare occasion). Is there any way I can get a female green Chocobo quickly? I'm becoming quite annoyed.

it a random number generator, all you can do is save before you breed them and keep trying until you get a female. (there are detailed Chocobo guides online)

Well, that's disappointing. Thanks.

Yes it not so bad the first time playing the game....
the next 10 playthroughs it really starts to be a buzzkill especially since you need to race them to S as well to get Black chocobo and above.
(There are advanced save game editors for FF7 you can use if you decide to play the game again after doing it legit once)

Ugh, what a hassle. This is my first playthrough and I'm already having this much trouble.

They prob didn't want to make the side quest too short and easy thinking most people only going to beat FF7 once and not thinking at all peope that like to replay it will have to go through that hassle each time.

if it really ruining your playthrough you can get a Gold Chocobo for defeating Ruby Weapon just for trading the item you get without the hassle of breeding and racing.
(of course this will be at the end of the game when you don't really need it anymore and won't have Knights of the Round for the Weapon fights as most noobs use the Knights of the Round method to defeat them first time (i did) or you can just use tha faster Barrets Limit Break Angermax with Mime way)

Even so, Ruby Weapon is the toughest enemy in the game. Not worth it for my first playthrough. I'll just keep trying to get the Chocobo, then.

Though when i was a kid playing this on the Playstaion in the 90's, the Chocobo racing was one of the biggest parts of the game for me and a friend.
I spend hours playing it the normal way, just placing bets and being hooked to it.

Update: I tried it 5 more times and all I got was a male green one. Is there something stuck with the game itself? I read that this was a problem for people in the original Playstation version as well.

I finally got one! I think the RNG was stuck. Thank goodness!

Feed any chocobo any one green. This will force the RNG to go to the next combination of gender and type.

I already got it, but thank you!

The races are just time consuming, there not hard at all if you cheat, holding R1-2 and L1-2 while you race to stop your stamina from draining, and sprint the whole track :)
