Ok, this is funny! Games used to be faster too! You're too young for the NES/SNES times I assume. I say this as Gen Z! I've played DQVIII. It is slow, it doesn't even feel slow. I didn't want it to end. Street Fighter, Dragon Quest, EVERY FF before VII, nearly all of them were fast paced. Even other PS1 games felt faster since it's not unnecessarily huge with too many animations.
First time it was really nice, but all in all its just a 5hour tutorial that doesnt give you anything else if you already know the story. They shouldve had a skip midgar option when re-playing the game imo.
That would've made the game a bit more enjoyable. Its slowness issue wouldn't have been solved on my side though. Cloud and the vehicles move too slow in comparison to how big the map is.
