Cant get out of buggy

I cant get out of the buggy after initially getting it after Corel Prison. I spammed all my PS5 controller buttons and pressed all my keyboard buttons i think

I tried this, i pulled up the big transparent map and spammed CANCEL on both keyboard and controller, nothing

what solved for me was to save, exit and load again. I could then press C

I'm having this issue and the only way around it is to save, exit and load again. (Even this doesn't work all the time)

Is there an easier way than this? (I am using 7th Heaven)
