FF7 has disappeared from my games list.

I purchased the game about one year ago - beat it, and want to replay it.

I've loaded up steam on my laptop and PC desktop, and on both, FF7 has disappeared under the "My Games" list.

Has anyone had this happen to them? I really want to play the game without buying the game again. This is ridiculous.

Do you have the list to set to show only installed games?

Nope, it's set to show all games. It's just not there anymore.

Did you buy the game from the square enix website or did you buy the version on Steam?

I bought it through my Steam client.

Open the store-page of the game, there must be a "play" button. Also, are you sure that you have not hidden the game from your list or moved it in another one?

Just looked up FF7 on Steam (the game page), and it just says "Add To Cart". Is there a way to check if it's been moved to another list or hidden? I've opened up the Steam client and checked under the Library tab, checked in every section and it's not there.

In the upper right of the Steam client click Steam -> Settings -> Account
In the top right of that box click on "View Account Details"
From this screen you can see your see your entire purchase history.
Find FFVII on this list to verify that you have definitely bought it on this account, then open up a Steam support ticket.

*edit* Just noticed you don't have the little mouse next to your username, which would imply that you don't have FFVII on your account. Check your purchase history on Steam (and maybe old bank statements) to verify that you definitely bought a Steam copy.
You can also try logging into the Square Enix site, as if you linked your accounts the game will show up in your profile with a date of purchase (but sadly no way to re-download).

Okay so I just checked my email, and found a purchase made for FF7 about a year ago.

Turns out I purchased it on another Steam account that I completely forgot about lol.

Is there a way to merge this FF7 purchase into my other Steam account?

I know for a fact that you can get games from one account you own to show up on another account that you own. However, I did this myself a long time ago and I don't remember how to do it exactly. Either open a support ticket or google it if no one here can help you in doing that. Note however, you can not *move* a game to another account, you can only have it show up there... unless Steam's policy has changed on that since I did this awhile back. Good luck.

I have LOST all my saved games on Final Fantasy & it is making mestart over from the begining. What can i do HELP HELP HELP!!! I cant start over when I have like 35 hours in the game.

i think the squareenix account needs linking with the steam one not sure though.
The cloud saves should be in my documents then in the square enix folder you should be able to
get it back
