the trick to refill ur stamina is pressing page down + target, i read.
but what/where is the target key?

I'd like to know as well. I have a custom key configuration and when pressing both keys, nothing happens. Neither did accelerate/decelerate, for that matter. Sprint works, as does left & right steering.

its hard to beat teioh with the black chocobo, i did it once in 5 times. but i got all prices i needed by betting now.

The Key buttons you need to use are "Pagedown" & "Target".
This is Pgdn+END on keyboard and 7+8 on joystick (standard settings).

Winning chocobo races:
Feed your chocobo around 70-80 Sylkis Greens. (Chocobo Sage).
Sit back and enjoy the show.

As for the black chocobo, its made so it always has better stats then your chocobo.
So even with a Golden Chocobo on Sylkis steroids he will be faster.
Best way is to do it manualy and keep your chocobo in front of him making it unable to pass you and make a sprint at the end.

But if your going easy style, whenever you see a black chocobo in the race grab yourself some coffee and do the next race and hope he is not there, otherwise repeat.

Thanks, I'll try this in the future, but the steroids will probably be the go-to method. ;-)

There is a Key ( Square on PS ) I think that lets you speed up without sprinting ( Like X does )?!
What ist that key?
End+Page Down works well, btw.

It's the [change] key, while cancel will slow you down. If you slow your chocobo down at the start and then speed up after a while the chocobo will walk very fast.
