Help with Makeup (Crossdress Quest)

Before ANYONE says it, yes, I KNOW that the underwear and the makeup are completely unnecessary. I'm attempting a perfect run here. Let's just get that out of the way.

So, here's the problem: I've reset a billion times, but the game will NOT give me any makeup option other than the 2nd one (healing sound effect). I'm trying to get the best one (wind sound effect), but it won't do it. It won't even do the bottom-tier makeup option (tinkle sound). It's supposed to be random, and each one is supposed to have a specific chance to gain, but I've only ever gotten the 2nd one.

Is this a glitch? Did my game bug out or something? Is there actually a pattern I'm supposed to follow for collecting the other items? I'm getting really frustrated and it's been literally a year of trying.

I looked it up...i don't know if there is a sort of makeup... There are multiple sorts of items depending on wich room you go into.

Groups room gives bikini briefs, lover's room gives lingerie and staff room gives the makeup. But different types of makeup are nowhere to be found.

maybe try getting all of the best other items, that might have effect on the makeup. If not, i think it is just normal to get a certain type...

There are three makeup bonuses you can get. After you go into one of the two hotel rooms and get the undies, go into the staff room and talk to the girl on the left. If you ask her to give you the makeup, you'll get one of three results at random. If you get a single "tink" sound, you'll only get +1. If you get a healing sound effect, you get +3. If you get the sound of wind (may be hard to hear), you get the +5 bonus. The chances of getting each one are 97/156, 96/256, and 63/256, respectively.

Don Corneo's choice is based on a point system. It's five points for all the best items, and you need 19 or more for Cloud to be chosen by the Don. So you really only need to get the best of the other four items (dress, wig, cologne, tiara). The underwear is glitched and awards no points (and may God have mercy on Cloud's soul).

Makes me wish I could contact the guys on the GameFAQs boards for the game.

definately agree. Damn, didn't even know this was a option. I'll do some more research, hope to find something

Maybe you`re doing the same thing every reset. Try doing something else before trying what you are supposed to do, to make a different call to the seed. If you do the same thing every reset, RNG will give back the same every time.

I do not know what qualifies as changing call to seed, try casting spells before and see if it changes your options. Start with 1, then 2 so forth.

I did end up finally getting it. I changed around my Materia setup and even left Wall Market for a moment. Old 90's era RNG, man.
