[GAME CRASH] Cid's Hyper Jump Limit Break Bug Persists in 2023?

First off, I'm using a low-end potato laptop. Intel Pentium Silver N5000 Processor, Intel UHD Graphics, 4 GB DDR4 Memory and 128 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD. I know that this might be due to my device being so potato but it doesn't seem to be the case regularly. I'm also using mods as well.

The problem is Cid's Hyper Jump Limit Break. Most of the time when I use it on Head Hunters in the Mideel Forest, the game crashes as soon as Cid hits the ground and the explosion effect starts to pop out. First I thought it's because I was in Fullscreen Mode, so I went to windowed mode and the bug persisted. Then, maybe it's due to the mods, so I turned off the SYW Spell Re-Texture Mod, Avalanche Arisen, and 60/30 FPS Gameplay. Still, it crashes. Then, maybe it's when I'm on 12x Speed Hack, so I tried not using speed hack PLUS set the Battle Mode to FIXED instead of Auto, so the camera is fixated. Still, it crashes. In one instance, I used Hyper Jump while windowed, all possible texture mods that affects it turned off, and no speedhack, and I was able to use Hyper Jump ONCE.

I've searched online and up until 2015 or 2017, the bug still existed and no one seemed to have a solution for it--just that the bug is just there and the devs didn't bother fixing it. I checked and Head Hunter isn't immune to OHKO Death, and the animation went smoothly that one time, so it's not that.

Is there a fix for it or is it just a hopeless bug? I'm planning on getting all of their last limit breaks and I even got Aerith's too. It would suck if I have to let go of Cid's Highwind Achievement, or if I have to resort to unmodded FFVII considering my progress.

I'll check if it happens on other areas than Mideel. So far, Cid's Hyper Jump is the only bug I've experienced where there's no solution--both online and on my end.

After a few trial and error, here are a few things I noticed.
1) After a few minutes of not running the game, I ran it again. Still windowed, still reduced mods, still didn't use speed hack. Went to Cactuar Island to increase Cid's Limit Gauge, used it on the Cactuar AND IT DID NOT BUGGED OUT.
2) Filled up Cid's Limit Gauge again, went back to Mideel Forest, tried it on 3x and 4x Head Hunters with still the same parameters, and IT DID NOT CRASHED.
3) Same parameters, but used 12x Speed hack. Used it on Head Hunters and IT DID NOT CRASHED.
4) Ran the game again, this time with mods previously disabled now enabled, and now on Full Screen. Used Hyper Jump on Head Hunters and IT DID NOT CRASH.
5) Used it again with Speed Hack 12x, IT DID NOT CRASH. HOWEVER, over time, when FPS drops became noticeable again and a little lags, IT FINALLY CRASHED AGAIN.

Kinda weird that I solved my own problem, but I feel like anyone who's still interested in this game and encountered the same Hyper Jump Glitch might find this post of help (and to save your time of course).

My device was a huge factor. It's probably my laptop not being able to handle the game's graphics, especially modded. However, the bug existed for more than a decade, but considering what I tried out, it's indeed my laptop's potato specs that causes the huge factor of the bug. I got Omnislash, Great Gospel, Satellite Beam, Summons and other animations that are way, WAY MORE COMPLICATED than Hyper Jump (which I also ran with 12x Speed Hack) but Hyper Jump is the first bug I encountered like this. So, while my device is indeed a factor, it may still occur on your end with better specs (considering some users from 2015 had the same problem).

I haven't experienced this bug way back then, and on the vanilla game since I didn't care much about getting all their Limit Breaks lol but anyway, hope this post could help anyone who'll encounter this Hyper Jump bug.

Hyper jump can just crashes the PC version, happens on all PC versions. We have looked into the crash over at the modding severs and no one has been able to figure out what causes the crash.
