Cover + Added Cut Materia
Does the combination of Cover + Added Cut Materia work?

The idea is to have a guaranteed attack after blocking for Allies.

I have it equipped but that event doesn’t happen. I’m thinking that both Materia needs more AP

No. Independent Materia does not link with Support Materia.

That doesn't happen, but you will get that result from equipping counterattack and cover. Those are Independent materia, they can interact with others, but are never "paired".

exactly... you don't have to pair them. one cover anywhere will cause that character to cover the other 2 don't have to link it to anything.

from then on, for each counter materia you have equipped that character will counter attack. multiple counterattacks will act independently of each other and don't need to be paired to anything.

so if you AP farm in the sub or the cave (with triple and double gear), and you make multiple copies of counterattack... you can just load cloud up with counter attacks and a single cover and if anything attacks your party with a physical attack... cloud will cover and then take it very very personally and go absolutely berserk slashing the hell out of everyone.

fun fact... the counter attacks start with going after the one who attacked, but if that enemy dies he will just keep on going releasing that pent up mako rage attacking randomly until everything dies or until he settles down in time for the next round of counter attacks.

works real good in battle arena.

Got the Added Cut with the Death Wish (or whatever the name is). Got some materia for luck so it’s awesome paired with a chance of a critical hit then a guaranteed hit
