FF7 remake has the worst dub in english. French is way better. Best one!

If you get FF7 remake, which looks promising. Dont play it in English. Its hands down worst one. Mainly because of the main cast.

French seems to be the best version of this game. English he sounds so insanely annoyingly monotone

I think french is a tad bit better than Japanese in this case, but english is hands down the worst. Cloud i mean sounds so insanely monotone in english. But in french its serious and emotive just works great. Just hope i can turn on subs and change audio when this game gets released.

A FF game with good english voice cast would be FF13 (though not everyone like that game, but that was perfection) But the guy who directed these voices in french in this FF7 remake i think did a good job. German i didnt like, but i still think English is way worse mainly due to how awful Cloud sounds like.

As a french guy, I find Aerith's voice extremely annoying. Too high pitched, she "seem" way too young. The rest is ok/pretty good I would say (still Bruno Choël as Sephiroth since KH/Advent Children ! )

ah Fair enough! I am Norwegian. I just like the overall sound of the cast. But interesting to hear ^^

I still can't decide myself between VA and VF, I will test both. But I can't get over Aerith's voice so... xD

I actually really like the English dub for many of the characters (esp Cloud, Aeris, Red XIII and Barrett which I think they did very well from what we have seen thus far). Tifa's isn't bad but I do think there could have been a better voice acting to put it on par with the others. I'm sure I might get picky about some others, too, especially Cid's whom will have a very stylized speech/demeanor. We shall see.

This has to be a troll, I'm french, and this is some of the worst dub I've ever heard. + no lip sync.

English sounds like real people talking to each other most of the time.

"Like a bad anime dub" really hurts haha, imo it's better than ur average random anime dub. Atleast for the sake of some iconic french doublers who are coming back (not all) for FFVII Remake (Bruno Choel > Sephiroth, Tanguy Goasdoué > Cloud, Frédéric Souterelle > Barret). There (likely) a real high budget and renowned actors involved behind. I'm far from convinced by Tifa and Aerith's voices, tho.
I'm not saying VF is the best, the dubbing is unequal but it's not that bad.

Yeah, fair enough about the lip sync.

I think the direction for this is pretty bad, even if they're talented VA, although I didn't like them at all in Advent Children.

haha, while I don't think Ramsay's tone would work for Cid his flair and speech pattern might very well be a perfect fit nearly

Its one year exclusive. So in april 2021. They can release it on other system after that
