directions for getting back to gold saucer after recruiting cid?

i'm up to the part of the game after cid joins your party and you have to go through the motions to make the temple of the ancients reappear. i know one of the steps is to talk to dio at the gold saucer, but after literal hours of wasted hours on my save file trying to find my way back there, following written descriptions from gamefaqs threads and such, i'm stumped. anyone think they could point me there, preferably with some kind of video demonstration?

you can drive the tiny bronco into the river and get out south of the desert, then just walk your way up to corel and ride the tramp

You have to back through Corel, like the first time you went there.

Through North Corel. Enter the area and on the left there should be a sign saying "Golden Saucer". If u cant find North Corel there are maps on the internet
