Steam Cloud Error
In my Steam library next to the FF7 title says "Steam Cloud Error" also there is a white cloud icon with a "!" in the middle and a yellow circle touching the cloud.

In my SquareEnix account there is a tab called "Collections" I think this is where the cloud saves and boosting feature is accessed, but idk. In my collections is FF8 but not FF7 or any SquareEnix games.
I contacted SE and they said to contact Steam, and when I try to get support for this title Steam says SE provides support. I just now contacted Steam using the Steam cloud support, and waiting for a response.
I cant find anything about this in the forums.
Anyone know of anything like run for Windows 7 mode/administrator or anything?
Can you tell me where boosting and cloud saves are accessed?
Also I did enable Cloud saves in the FF7 launcher>settings.

I am getting the same thing ever since the last update. It started with The Cycle, but now it seems to have spread to Elder Scrolls Online. For the sake of argument, I followed the FAQ recommendations of resetting modem and router, but still getting this error. They can say its my setup all they want, but I have been on Steam for years, and had the same setup for a hot minute. Cant get past the fact that it started after their last update.

I have the same issue, the game doesn't even support Steam Cloud as far as I know

FF7 does support cloud saves, it is an advertised feature still in print. But it might be through Square Enix website also "Character Booster" is a advertised feature, that I looked on the forums and is accessed through SE website. But if you go to the website, it is just a generic FF7 Ad. I think I remember SE said they were changing the website a couple years ago, either they were adding the FF 14 accounts or they were splitting them, only thing I remember is they said they were changing the website.
And now that I play FF7 I think the cloud saves and character booster were removed but still advertised?

Ok I just got a response from Steam about "Steam Cloud Error" they told me FF7 does not support cloud saves. But it is still an advertised feature on Steam's and on Square Enix's webpage for FF7 PC. It must have been accessed on Square Enix website that is now completely gone.

i have this same issue SE said they no longer support games bought through other stores/vendors so you have to buy the game though their website to use any character booster options on the game which when purchased through their website it spits out a activation code for here on steam. Its all a bunch of BS and square doesn't want to fix it.

so i wanted to REALLY finish the game
I bought a new pc meanwhile i was preparing to face my last journey with my beloved characters
but i got the save cloud error

ok, I told myself this happened to me before with A LOT of games
I tried to moved files from the old pc (a potato pc)
Didn´t work

I´M SAD AND ANGRY CUZ THIS GAME MARKED ME AND NOW I CAN´T FINISH IT
I WON´T REPLAY IT CUZ IT´S LIKE 64 HRS, I HAVE MORE GAMES TO PLAY AND FINISH. . . AND EVEN IF I HAVEN´T MORE GAMES TO PLAY 64 HRS WERE SPENT HERE
it´s not like I spent 10 hrs cuz if that´d the case I wouldn´t be here and I´d being emulating in some PS1 emulator
but i was about to finish the game bro
