FF7 controller bug - Junon Parade March minigame.
The "Circle" button is not registering during the Junon Parade March minigame. Due to this the dialog box does not advance beyond the first march command. The highest I can get the tv ratings is 35% by entering the parade on the 4th wave of troops.

Per this article below, the "Circle" button malfunctions when the in-game controller setting is set to "Customize". Unfortunately, I cannot seem to change the in-game controller setting to "Normal'. Has anyone found a way to fix this?

This is for FF7 steam version using steam controller. I've tried various steam controller configurations with no improvment.

"You need to switch your controller to the default controller setting in order to successfully “march” once you are in formation (as shown in the video included below). Using a customized controller setting will cause the “Circle” button to function incorrectly. This is a glitch in the game’s programming and there is no way around it."

Found a work around. The"Cancel" aka "Run" button registers as the "Circle" button during this minigame. Even though your instructed to walking in line with soldies, mashing "run" improves the score regardless.

yeah I had same results. Smashing run along with "circle" is needed for the steam PC version. I got to the 49 points. Many people prefer the ethers to the money anyways (you get like 5000 gil at 50+ points)
