Arbiter of Fate "ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE" SPOILERS FF7 Remake
Thinking about this.. "Arbiter of fate" people didnt like that... it kinda makes sense. Because much of FF7 has Norse mythology to it. Even the name Cloud in ancient greek can mean Niflheim " Cloud's hometown is in reality Niflheim "japanese both ps1 and wiki says it same" they just renamed it nibelheim in english.. i guess to make it unique.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niflheim#Etymology

But vikings believed in idea of fate alot of time, or so i was taught in school (although there is a wiki article on some mythology on it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norns. So i dunno if they play around with that idea for that reason

- Midgar.. just saying lots of themes in FF7 is tied to Norse Mythology, so this isnt actually.. that off putting. It just came as shock first time because, FF7 is such a gold game, so why change it? But i think this can be a justified change

Its not like Donald or Goofy is in this game atleast XD. Even though i like KH1 and KH2

Maybe they can make Belldandy a temporary guest character in parts 2 and 3.

Having ties with a mythology doesn't make it good

What i meant is doesn't automatically. Some are good but what make them good are storytelling and the story that actually makes sense

I usually play Final Fantasy for gameplay, not story. If i want a story i just read a book. But not that i mind a story

Even though FF7 (OG version) excelled at both of these things. It told an interesting story while still having fun gameplay.

I havent played the remake yet. But design, voice actor wise, it captures original very accurate. My nitpick is only Aeris. She was more of a person who spoke when it was either something amusing or relevant... but she wasnt that outspoken, but the ruckus part they captured well in remake. Voice actor and design wise it is good. But thats one gripe and nitpick only. Outside that the remake made everything else really accurate.

But all i know is Remake is action RPG while original is Turn Based RPG. I am gonna get it on Xbox Series X. But it looks good is as much as i can tell

The remake combat is actually REALLY good. It's the story that i find it... unappealing. It's like the people behind the remake don't understand what made FF7 story good (or one of the best in the series).
