Pc or emulator?
Hello guys, looking into playing some FF. Currently thinking about ff7, ff10 and ff15. However I heard about some problems with pc ports. In case of FF7, would you recommend playing on emulator or should I buy it play it on steam? Also looking forward to here you suggestions to other part of the franchise and recommended versions to play

If you've never played a Final Fantasy before, start with 1 or 4.

15 is expensive, so I want to stick with 10, but wouldn't hurt to try psp version of FF4

What version of ff4 would you recommend?

The PSP version and the 3d remake version that's on steam both have their perks. On the whole, I prefer the Steam version, even though only 4 and After Years are available and the Interlude chapter is missing, and you can't freely swap the characters in your party in the end game, and the Lunar Ruins dungeon is taken out.

The PSP version severely nerfs many abilities, like Rosa's Pray and Edwards Bardsong, the limited inventory space is a pain in the butt, and the Augment system in the 3d version that lets you mix and match character abilities makes for great customized play style and strategies. But the PSP version's visuals are much closer to the classic Final Fantasy aesthetic.

Is the introlude that matters? Also is it worth to play after years?

Interlude might be called just filler, but After Years is definitely worth experiencing.
