I guess it's an old mechanic that seems annoying to the new generation. It's so ingrained in my brain that not having them is weird. Wondering if you'll make it to the next screen or grab onto a ladder without it happening has always been a mini-game itself
Yeah, totally understandable. I have a few things I'm less willing to put up with over the years in gaming recently for pretty similar reasons.
Unless you are playing with New Threat, then you are screwed (I just barely made it to Costa del Sol). Try it out if you've played this game countless times, it's pretty damn good.
